Our Story
From personal need to professional solution
GrazeMeter was founded and developed by an Enterprise Architect with extensive experience building solutions for major corporations. After being affected by the workforce reductions that hit the tech industry in 2025, the need for a practical livestock management solution became personal.
My wife and I needed a reliable way to track our homestead animals' weight and heat cycles, but existing solutions were either too complex, too expensive, or simply didn't address the real-world challenges we faced daily. While applying to over 100 jobs with little to no responses, I decided to channel my enterprise architecture expertise into solving this problem.
What started as an idea in early 2025 became active development in July 2025. Every feature in GrazeMeter addresses a real challenge we've encountered on our own homestead. This isn't theoretical software—it's a platform built by someone who uses it every day to manage livestock.
